These were some of the best pork chops we’ve ever eaten!
We wanted baked “breaded” pork chops for dinner; however, I
was out of eggs to whip up and dip the chops into before cooking. But, I did have a container of Egg Beaters
Southwestern Style in the refrigerator.
The egg beaters include red and green peppers, onions and a
variety of spices ~ a great combination that I will be using again for this
type of meat dish.
After the egg dip, the pork was dredged in a mixture of Penzeys
Ozark Seasoning, panko bread crumbs, and a little garlic powder, salt and
seasoned pepper.
They slowly baked into some of the best pork chops ever! They were tender, moist and lip-smacking
good! Delicious!

ENJOY!

I love pork chops but shy away because they are usually dry. These look delicious! Alas, we have no Pensy's nearby. I love their spices and probably should look into ordering some--especially their blends.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Thanks, Bonnie! They were good and I will do make them again soon. Penzeys' seasonings are great, I order online usually.
DeleteNo Penzeys..no flavored Egg Beaters,I bet they are good!
ReplyDeleteNana, they are!
DeleteHi Pam , deliciously moist pork chops , use egg beaters southwestern style , never thought to use them this way, add a salad , bread , vegetable and it's on . Thanks for sharing Nee :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nee! It was an easy good meal!
DeleteOoh, they do look moist and delicious. I've never tried flavored egg beaters. I wish we had a Penzy's nearby, consequently I don't buy from them very often due to their shipping. My FIL could never been without his Penzys. Maybe I should rethink the shipping.
ReplyDeleteSam
Sam, I usually order on line and they have free shipping, depending upon how much is ordered. Thanks!
DeleteI am so lucky to have a Penzeys store nearby! I've love to visit their headquarters here in the Milwaukee area one day. I'm going to try this, Pam. My husband is always asking for pork chops and I hate chewy chops :)
ReplyDeleteSusan, you are the lucky one! Have a great day!
DeleteTender Pork Chops have become an art, Pam. Looks like you've mastered it with these tender baked pork chops and that awesome seasoning! Thanks for sharing, Pam...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Louise! I think I finally figured out how to make them. :-)
DeletePork chops are a wonderful meal especially when they are moist and tender:)
ReplyDeleteGeraldine, you are right on spot!
DeleteThese sound great! I've never lived where there is a Penzey's store.
ReplyDeleteNellie, one is fairly close to me, but I usually order online.
DeletePam, We love breaded pork chops...baked slowly in the oven. We rarely order pork chops in restaurants because they overcook them. We use Italian bread crumbs and spicy Panko...plus my better half spices them up. Your version looks great too... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteDave, thanks! We don't order them in restaurants either, but love them cooked at home. Take care
DeletePam I love these breaded pork chops!
ReplyDeleteLook amazing!
Thanks, Gloria! Take care
DeleteHi Pam,
ReplyDeleteTrying to always catch up.....This recipe is outstanding...now aren't you glad that you ran out of eggs...sometimes things happen for a reason and this was a perfect one...Sometimes when I run out of eggs and need the breading to coat the chops in or cutlets, I use a little water, or even sour cream. I love it when you have to make due with what you have, sometimes you can create a fabulous new recipe without even trying... Great job, looks so yummy..Thanks for sharing...have a good rest of the week...
Dottie :)
Dottie, thanks! This was a new one for me, sometimes improvisations work, and sometimes they don't. This one was a huge success! I always knew Egg Beaters were a great thing! :-) You have a good rest of the week also!
DeleteYummy! They really look tender and just irresistible!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Medeja! They were great!
DeleteWill check online for the Penzey's, you've got me curious! Hope all is well. We're up to our necks, well the corgis are, in mud here due to the thawing. Worst time of year for backyard paws! Will make an appt. for a carpet cleaning once we have grass! Lovely pork chop recipe to give a whirl. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteHi Corgimama! All is well here. And I can imagine with your sweet Corgis! The ground is still snow covered here, but I remember from our dachshund, how it was this time of year, muddy! I'm still working on that Corgi thing. Here's to green grass, and give the corgis a treat! :-)
DeletePam, it has been years since I baked pork chops. You have inspired me with this recipe.
ReplyDeleteGreat, Susan! Have a wonderful rest of the week!
Deletesimply damn delicious baked pork chops!!!
