Chicken w/Garlic and Mushrooms in White Wine Sauce

Chicken lovers unite, here’s a scrumptious creamy
satisfying dish just for you!

This delicious chicken smothered in a delectable creamy garlic and mushroom sauce with white wine will make you forget it’s a chilly fall day out there, not to mention less daylight. It comes together in no time!

Use mushrooms of your choice, cremini or maybe even shiitake mushrooms would work; I used button mushrooms since I had them on hand.  The inclusion of cream cheese with wine thickens the sauce and gives it that creamy look.

I served the chicken with mashed potatoes alongside broccoli; rice or pasta would be good too with a side of veggies or green salad.

Ready for the oven

Here’s hoping you try this recipe, it’s really delicious and makes an easy dinner, that’s a perfect choice for your family and company too!

Pam, I will admit that this entree is very attractive...photogenic even. My wife would love it and I'd like it too, once I took the mushrooms off my chicken. Weird I know...and a frustration for my wife too! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

Pam, talk about a dark chilly fall night, it's that hear and this dish would be perfect. This one is going on my make soon list as our days are getting very short. I took Chloe dog out at 3 this afternoon for a 30 minute walk and it was dark when we got home.

Pam said...

Hi Dave! Yes, some here would do the same, remove the mushrooms, and I would gladly take them! The chicken would still be good without them though! Take care

Oh, yes, Ron, shorter days here but doesn't start getting dark until around 4:45, that will change soon thought and be dark before 4:30, but a chilly day here today. Bet Chloe loves those walks, she's a beauty!

This is so full of flavour but you've kept it simple so the flavours shine through and we're not chained to the stove for 30 minutes. Just fabulous.

Oh, boy, my stomach is doing flip flops! This will be dinner at our house soon. Bill won't eat mushrooms, but I'm happy to eat his cast offs :)

Mushroom lovers and their opposite have problems living together. Fortunately we are compatible on that score, and I make mushroom dishes all the time. Those big boxes of brown mushrooms are the one Costco size produce item that I can use up before it rots!

You're right on spot, Mae! We both love them and I make mushroom dishes a lot also. I need to go to Costco! Have a good weekend!
